PHYSICAL EXERCISE



Physical exercise means the regular movement of the limbs of our body according to rules. It is essential to keep our body fit and mind sound. Human body is like a machine. A machine gets rust of want of proper use. Similarly we can not maintain good health and keep our body fit for work without physical exercise. Physical  exercise is of various kinds. Good forms of exercise are walking, swimming, ridding, racing, rowing, gymnastics, wrestling and playing many out door and indoor games. All forms of exercise are not suitable for all men. If a week man takes part in a football game or hockey, he will get tired. Those who are strong and stout can take all forms of exercise. On the other hand those who are week can not take all forms of exercise. Walking is the best kind of exercise for all in all circumstances. It is of special use to the week and the old. Walking in the morning and evening refreshes our body and mind. It also enables a man to enjoy the scenic beauty of nature. Walking in the midst of friends is highly entertaining and interesting. Swimming is also a good exercise. -. Gymnastic exercise are not suited to people of  all ages. The week and the old can not stand the strains of gymnastic exercise. Gymnastic exercise are best suited to the young. Students and members of well organised  clubs . Riding, racing, rowing, wrestling, indoor and outdoor games offer simple opportunity for the exercise of our body. Among of forms of exercise  swimming and walking are the best because they cast nothing. An off-quoted poverb  goes that a sound mind lives in a sound body. Mere acquisition of knowledge without sound health is of no use to society. There lies a close connection between body and the mind. If the body is unsound , the mind must be unsound. We can not think of sound mind without a sound health. It is physical exercise which enables us to build a good health which the key to success. There are many people who do not take physical exercise. They can hardly realize that they themselves are ruining their health. They fall victim to many diseases. Life becomes dull to them. They lose all zest and interest in life. They do not find any energy. They also suffer from the morbidity of mind. They are always peevish and ill tempered. For the slightest reason they fly into a rage and this result in unhappy events and most of them leads to bitterest quarrel. They also can not reach to their cherished goal, attain anything great in life and earn name and fame. They can not enjoy life. The world full of scenic beauty and fascinating charm can hardly stir their emotion and feelings. In spite of their academic attainments they are not suitable employed. AS a result their hopes are nipped in the bud, aspirations are shattered and future plans are smashed. In a word life becomes meaningless to them. It needs no telling the importance of physical exercise. We build good health and sound mind through physical exercise. Physical exercise makes our body active and the muscles strong. It also improves our power of digestion and blood circulation. It gives strength to our brain. Many good habits are formed through out door games. It teaches us unity, patience, obedience, discipline  and punctuality. Apart from this physical exercise is the best prevention to guard our body from various diseases. But we should remember that over exercise tells upon our health. We should take sufficient food before taking physical exercise. To take exercise with an empty stomach is very injurious to health.
